Maca (Lepidium meyenii Walpers) is a small root that grows in the Peruvian Andes at an altitude of 3,500–4,300 meters—making it the highest-growing plant in the world! After 8 months of growth, Royal Green’s maca is harvested. Post-harvest, our organic certified maca is dried and hand-sorted by size and color (black, purple, and yellow). Royal Green Maca consists of 80% black, 15% purple, and 5% yellow roots—providing the broadest profile of active compounds for optimal results.

Royal Green's certified organic maca is the result of a pure production process in which the maca is concentrated using a temperature no higher than 45˚C. Maca is a well-known plant, but few truly harness its full potential! Most products on the market contain the same low-quality, light-yellow, sweet-smelling maca powder. These are typically uncertified, extracted using high-heat processes, and often contain fillers like corn, rice powder, maltodextrin, or even sugar.

Royal Green provides maca roots in raw form, highly concentrated (6:1), and 100% organic. They are not heat-processed, irradiated, or blended with fillers.
